Our community Sunshine Committee is continuing to provide meals and friendship to many families in our neighborhood. Our goal this year is to offer a meal to families that experience a life-changing event (a new baby, a death in the family).  We currently have twenty “chefs” in the Sunshine Committee ready to help out a neighbor when needed.

 

Recent changes within the Sunshine Committee include the addition of pick-me-ups, surprises (magazines, flowers, chocolates) that add a smile to a neighbors face.  These are delivered for neighbors who are house-bound or seasonally through pay-it-forward games.

 

For the Sunshine Committee to be a continued success we need everyone to participate. Please keep your eyes and ears open for anyone who may need a meal or a pick-me-up, and contact me. Also, if you are interested in joining in any capacity, to cook meals or just deliver a pick-me-up every once in a while, let me know!
